• Log Removal- We can remove fresh logs the power company left behind. If the logs are usable I would pick them up for free. If not, a quote will be provided for your consideration. We use an environmentally friendly articulated loader to move large logs which means very little impact to your yard. See the image of us loading a 2500 pound log onto our trailer! We don't tear up the yard!
  
• Log Moving- Our loader helps us move logs quickly and safely. We can move logs on your property with little impact to your yard.
  
• Sawyer Service- We can saw your logs into lumber, live edge slabs, beams and posts. We can cut a beam or board up to 24 feet 7 inches long! We can help you create that unique and special bench out of that mis-shapen log. Let your imagination run wild!

At Sandhill Portable Sawmill the focus is on sawmill operations that come to you!  Willing to travel 2.5 hours from Duluth Minnesota brings portable sawmill services to most of greater Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.  Using a 2016 Woodmizer LT40HD you can be assured the job is going to get done in a smooth and timely manner.  The sawmill is fully hydraulic, loads its own logs and sets up within 20 minutes of arriving at the job site meaning the customer is not paying for idle time. 
Sandhill Portable Sawmill is great for customers that are interested in producing fine wood products at a fraction of the price paid in retail environments.  From custom cuts for specialty furniture to volume cutting for farm operations and utility uses, Sandhill Portable Sawmill is a guaranteed way to support local business, encourage sustainability and drive end product prices down for the customer. 
Sandhill Low Impact Logging focuses on ecologically sensitive logging operations.  Utilizing a log arch pulled by an ATV capable of carrying a 20 foot log 26 inches in diameter without the ends touching ensures scarring of the delicate forest ecosystem is avoided.  Low impact logging is great for land owners that have had extensive storm damage, would like a sustainable thinning, do not have enough land for large scale loggers to come in, do not want the impacts associated with large logging operations and would like to play a bigger part in deciding which trees should be removed.
